Over the course of three and a half hours of teachings, Lougaya will clearly and precisely demonstrate how to make your own moccasins and boots with laces. (watch the introduction of the course here:

All can be done at home with very few and simple hand tools.
We are convinced that even people without prior experience in leather work or sewing can complete this project quite easily.

The tutorial covers the topic of making these moccasins with laces in low style and in boot style, as well as making them with a warm inner lining (sheepskin, or other) for cold weather. It also covers the topics of making soles, leather balm and more ideas to use leather off-cuts.

The Kit includes:
- A large piece of leather to make the lower part of the moccasins (bottom)
- A smaller piece of leather to make the upper part of the moccasins (top)
- An Awl
- A Belt Punch (4mm - 1/8 inch)
- Some Waxed Thread
- 2 Saddlers Needles

The Kit does NOT include:
- the printed patterns
- extra leather or rubber for soles
- scissors

The tutorial and patterns are in digital format. To reduce the price of postage, we do not send the printed patterns, but if you can't print them easily on your side, please let us know, and we will gladly add them to your package.

The great difference with most other moccasins and patterns that you can find on the market is that ours are made to be adjusted exactly to the morphology of each person.

The Patterns will generally suit feet from size 34 to 48 EU / 3 to 13 US men. They are made to be printed on a home printer with A4 or US letter paper. If you are not able to print the patterns at home, please send us a request to get them with the leather and tool kit.

When purchasing our tutorials, you will gain access to the videos that you will be able to watch and replay as many times as you like.
Along with the videos, you will receive the PDF tutorial as well as the printable patterns. (Please allow up to 24 hours after your purchase to receive it via email).

The video tutorial helps to understand the right gesture, whereas the PDF tutorial highlights important details in large images and written explanations and helps you to keep track of each step in order. Even after your first pair, it is a useful document to remember how to make them without having to watch all the videos again.

With practice, a pair can be made in only 3 hours but it would usually take about 1 day on the first trial.

Moccasins are soft-soled shoes or barefoot-shoes. Made of 100% leather, they act and feel just like a second-skin.
They will well protect your feet from sharp objects, dirt, etc; while at the same time allowing you to feel the ground’s texture.
The Laces allow the shoe to open widely to put the foot in, while also allowing to tighten it perfectly for long walks and even running.
It closes very well to prevent sand, dirt and pebbles to enter the shoe.
Thanks to the natural qualities of the leather, these shoes are very breathable and limit sweating. They can be worn without socks.
Due to the way they are constructed, there is no seam that could create irritation in the shoe.

They are perfectly suitable to where indoors and outdoors.
They come without soles, just leather, but can be easily resoled with soft leather or thin rubber for durability.
With leather soles, you might need to resole them once to 4 times a year, depending on the use and the ground where you wear them.
Rubber soles are more water and wear resistant.

This design is made in 2 pieces of leather, which allows you to match 2 colors.

It is appropriate for people that need/like a larger toe-box and/or have a strong instep.
